Every so often I experience stories that highlight how
things can be small in action but big in impact. And since it's Ramadan I'd say
it's an apt time to share one. This story is about someone I work with
(anonymous) that won a year's worth of free Chik-fil-A when a new one opened up
downtown.
Now nobody would've judged this person if they decided to keep it on
the low so they could have unhindered access to a mountain of chicken sandwiches
and waffle fries.
But what happened instead was it got put out for the entire
office to use so that anyone who was strapped for cash could still get lunch.
Since then it's been able to feed not only the staff countless times but
homeless folks as well.
This person is pretty humble (but won't readily admit
it) and I'll probably be getting scolded for putting them on blast. But I think
the greater good here is a chance to show that when you have more than you
need, giving a little can go a long way.
